What we offer

Dog Day Care provides pet sitting, walking, training and day visits in Lambourn, Swindon Newbury, Hungerford and surrounding areas.

Dog visits

We all know that being home alone all day is no life for a dog. Day visits provides a safe opportunity for dogs to exercise, play and socialise with other friendly dogs. It prevents the boredom, loneliness and destructive behaviour that can happen when dogs spend long periods of time left alone. It also gives owners great peace of mind, knowing that their dogs are having fun while they are at work. We offer a regular day visit package and an occasional day visit package.

Walking

Most owners enjoy walking their dogs but sometimes time constraints, work or illness can mean it isn't always possible. Dog Day Care can provide regular or occasional walks for your dog to ensure they receive plenty of exercise. Sociable dogs can be walked with another friendly dog (which provides plenty of social stimulation). For those dogs that prefer to be walked alone we offer an individual walking service. If you are out all day we usually take your dog out in the middle of the day to break the day up, or a time that suits you.

Pet sitting

If you're away on holiday pet sitting provides an excellent alternative to boarding kennels – as it allows the dog to stay in its own home. Dogs are usually happier if they are in their own home, sticking to a familiar routine with regular walks. Whether you are going out for the day or away on holiday Dog Day Care will walk, feed and make a fuss of your dog. We can check on your house, water plants and bring in the post if you need us to. There are a number of pet sitting options to suit you.

As well as looking after your pets we can also bin mail, newspapers and packages; water plants; alternate lights, curtains and blinds; take out rubbish for collection; turn TV and radio on and off; replenish bird feeders and much more. Please tick the relevant boxes on your booking form.

Training and advice

Got a dog that pulls on the lead? Won't come back when called? Barks too much? Likes to jump up? If so, Dog Day Care can help by providing one to one training and advice sessions. The service includes questionnaire, consultation, training/behaviour modification plan, follow up calls and emails (and visits if necessary). Supporting literature is also included. We also provide information on puppy/dog care, getting ready for your new puppy, training classes, dog sports and equipment. If you're planning on getting a new dog we can offer advice on which dog would be suitable. We can also come to your home to help you set up for your new arrival and assist you in early basic training.

House sitting

We offer a house sitting service where our house-sitting specialist will stay overnight at your house. This service gets booked up a few months in advance.

Other services

We offer other services such as chaperoning dogs to weddings, a pet taxi, puppy parties and much more. Please contact us for more information.
